The Mystical Supper

Central to any liturgical service is the Eucharist. The giving of the Eucharist is a liturgy within a liturgy. On Holy Thursday is a commemoration and participation of the original Lord’s Supper, where He institutes the New Covenant out of His own body and blood. There is a mixed feeling in the air. One of an anticipation of hope and another of coming betrayal. The idea of being in the presence of God and being hunted by a nameless mob was bouncing in my mind.
