Missions
I've been involved for many years with Christian missionary work around the world, joining projects that range from building homes and supporting orphanages in Mexico to visiting and assisting Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey. These experiences have been shaped by heartfelt connections with the people we serve — listening, learning, and working alongside communities to meet practical needs and share hope. It is my desire to connect people’s stories for those in need and for those serving those needs.
Jordan and Lebanon
In 2013, during the Syrian civil war, I had the opportunity to accompany an organization called Giving Children Hope on a trip to Jordan and Lebanon. Giving Children Hope’s global mission is to help families and children in areas hit by natural disasters, along with areas effected by war. The majority of the assistance comes in the form of medical supplies. The goal of this trip was to follow up on the shipment of many medical items shipped and to personally see where they are being distributed. Our team had the opportunity to meet many Syrian refugee families and locals working together.
JORDAN
LEBANON
Mexico
I’ve had the opportunity to join with many teams for short trips to Mexico. Various trips have included serving meals and playing with kids at an orphanage, as well as house-building projects for a family, and even creating a pave road leading to a remote orphanage.
Turkey
In 2016 I had the privilege of joining a team to partner with a non-denominational church in Turkey. They had centers within Ankara and Istanbul, providing cottage industries for Syrian refugees who were unable to return to their homes, not allowed to work in Turkey, nor immigrate to another country. We also had the opportunity to visit with refugee families in surrounding villages and hear their stories.
