Smoke Queen BBQ
Do you see a restaurant or food documentary on the Food Network and think, “that place looks awesome and inspiring, I wish I could go there…!”? Well, I not only had the opportunity to visit, but I was invited for a photo shoot for the menu of Smoke Queen BBQ in Garden Grove, California. To say I was excited is an understatement. They allowed me to come early to photograph the actual barbecuing with their pitmaster who were prepping the meats and smokers. It was early and O:dark-thirty, but definitely worth getting to be a photographing fly-on-the-wall.
Getting to meet Chef Winnie was also a great treat. Seeing her interact and care for her staff was a lot of fun. They let me taste a bit of everything and Smoke Queen easily became one of those places that goes way above the hype. You definitely should go pay them a visit.
